About 

Steven has been a Consultant Psychiatrist for over 15 years and has experience of the assessment and treatment of a wide range of mental disorders.
 
He studied Medicine at the University of Cambridge and then University College London Medical School before qualifying as a Doctor in 1996. He trained in Psychiatry in North London, and after a period of working around England and also Germany (for the British army) he took up substantive academic and NHS Consultant positions in 2009 in the Midlands. He has been a Professor of Psychiatry in Birmingham since 2018.

- Indemnity by the Medical Protection Society

- Registered with the General Medical Council

-Approved as having specialist experience in mental disorders under the Mental Health Act

-Currently I am an examiner for the Royal College of Psychiatrists
