ADHD assessments and treatment After an enquiry I will send you an ADHD screen with your consent. If this is positive screen then we will go ahead and organise an appointment. There is no cost for completing the screen. ADHD diagnostic assessments take 2-3 hours and the current fee is £1100. If at all possible it is recommended that a parent attend the assessment or is available to provide information about childhood difficulties and functioning via a video-call. Obviously this will not be possible in all cases. After the appointment a diagnostic report will be sent to your GP and a copy of the report sent to you. This will include a treatment plan. If medication is recommended these are started during follow-up appointments. Initiation of treatment and stabilisation usually takes 3-5 appointments each costing £210 each. I will issue prescriptions. A pharmacy will charge for the medication and the cost varies but is usually in the region of £50-£70 per 28 days. I will then ask your GP to continue prescribing under the NHS system under a shared care agreement.
